SRX6919883: Reduced Metagenome sequencing of mock sample
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 3000) run: 1.3M spots, 390.3M bases, 149.8Mb downloads

Design: Cutting of DNA into fragments with restriction cutting enzymes followed by PCR amplification
Submitted by: Norwegian University of Life Sciences
Study: Reduced metagenome sequencing for strain-resolution taxonomic profiles
show Abstracthide Abstract
As an alternative to do shotgun sequencing, we explore the Reduced Metagenome Sequencing approarch to study the composition of microbial communitites. The approach involves cutting the DNA using restricion enzymes, followed by PCR amplification and sequencing of the resulting amplicons.
